Flinders Golf Club Irrigation
AKS recently installed an all new irrigation system at the renowned and picturesque Flinders Golf Course.
Installed in a purpose built pumphouse the system included a skid-based solution, incorporating Cascade vertical multistage centrifugal pumps, providing up to 28l/sec @ 700 kPa. Harvested water was drawn via a suction line from the on-course dam, with the system providing filtration using a fully automatic self-cleaning filter.
Running on an automatic programmed cycle to water the Greens, the system can also be adjusted manually via the control panel. The new system has provided the course with a dramatic improvement in water management capability and irrigation control.
Situated on Bass Strait and Western Port Bay, Flinders Golf Club is positioned with panorama views towards Phillip Island. This historically significant 18 hole course provides a unique playing experience, and boast a range of other facilities.
