Pinnacle Hire is a national hire business focused on providing ‘advanced dewatering, pumping and water treatment’ for Construction, Municipal and Mining projects across the country. Pinnacle called upon AKS to provide an innovative water treatment solution to manage Hydrocarbon contaminated water at their customers building sites.
We designed and manufactured a robust Hydrocarbon Removal Plant to treat the flow of recovered water from groundworks on hydrocarbon contaminated sites, such as those previously housing Service Stations.
The ‘Elementz’ system includes pre-screening with automatic backwashing, followed by four trains of oil absorbing filter media. Treating the contaminated groundwater, the system removes all trace hydrocarbons before it is discharged to sewer.
The treatment plant was packaged within a compact security enclosure measuring just 3.6m x 1.2m and weighing 800kg, making it easy to handle and suitable for transportation from site to site.
